Fee Structure & Breakdown

You may notice the following charges on your account balance payment alongside your post-secondary tuition costs per semester. These costs are fees paid by regular studies students who get automatically included in the LSU membership. * In exception to the verified exemption of the UPASS from the college and the LSU Health & Dental Plan**, all other LSU fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. The following fees show charges for courses taken per credit from a minimum of 1 credit to a maximum of 15 credits. Fee charges may fluctuate depending on the number of credits taken per semester.

FEES COST
Langara Students’ Union Basic Fee
These fee is used in the operations and operating budget of the LSU.
$15.91 (standard flat rate per semester) +

$2.65 (per credit)

LSU Capital Trust Fund
This fee is used to pay the mortgage, lease, and other LSU building and maintenance costs.
$3.16 (per credit)
LSU International Communities Development Fund
This fee is used to fund various international charity projects in impoverished nations affected by political unrest, famine, diseases, and/or natural disasters.
$1.20 (per semester)
LSU Bursary, Scholarships & Awards Fund
This fee goes towards providing bursaries, scholarships, and awards to those in need of financial assistance and of educational merit.
$0.80 (per credit)
LSU Member Relations and Outreach Fund
This fee goes towards the events committee’s fees to host events, campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
$2.13 (per credit)
LSU- UPASS BC
This fee is paid for a U-PASS Compass transit card to use for the entire semester for a 3-zone usage ridership.

LSU- HEALTH & DENTAL
This plan is automatically added for students beginning their studies in the Fall (September) semester**

**Automatically enrolled students in the Fall 2023 semester can opt out of the plan during the Change-of-Coverage period from Sept 1 – Sept 22, 2023, only upon showing proof of other equivalent health & dental coverage.
